Adoption can be both beautiful and hard at the same time.

You don't have to make this decision alone we are here to walk you through your options, the different types of adoptions,

and help you make an informed decision.

You don't have to have it all figured out.

that you don't have to walk this alone.

We are here for you.

Below you will find more information about Adoption, how we support you, and a way to contact us.

 Types of Adoption

Bio Mom: A mom who chooses Adoption for her child:   Adoptive Parents/Family: Adopts a child needing a home

Open Adoption

In open Adoptions there's open contact and communication between the Birth Mom and the Adoptive Family.

This enables you to watch your child grow up and be more involved in their lives.

[the degree of openness will vary depending on the mutual agreement both Birth Mom & Adoptive Family decide on]

 Closed Adoption

In closed Adoptions there are no contact or communication between the Birth Mom & the Adoptive Family.

This type of Adoption is very private and confidential.

You will only be able to try to make contact with your bio child after they turn 18 years old.

 More Options

1. Semi-open Adoption

there's typically a liaison from the Agency that helps facilitate communications & openness agreements

[liaison definition as used above: communication or cooperation which facilitates a close working relationship between people]

2. Temporary Placement

At Cities of Refuge, we offer temporary placement plans, meaning that you can have us take care of your baby until you are ready to take your baby home.

You will have the opportunity to choose the couple that will adopt your child [this is optional].
